You layed out the plan very well. Small steps and consistency are absolutely key. Maybe it is not such fun as goggins-it-all-in-mofos but small but consistent workouts can surely work wonders! And thank you Anthony, because I've been doing it since 2017 with the much needed help from your books.

I just need to hit a proper weight before I get myself doing some serious calisthenics. 209lbs when started, down to 204lbs. Was using your method and mix of others. Thanks to your book, if I knew you had a real program I would have begun with you. How I am losing my weight, no junk, snacking or even eating before 12pm and anything after 8pm. This hits home for sure Anthony. Recently I’ve had a slight shoulder injury from weightlifting. Almost weekly I’ve changed my routine up and that was the result. Ultimately I am going back to bodyweight exercise once the shoulder heals. I’ll still do some weights for the lower body. But in over a decade of bodyweight training I had not one injury and just can’t afford to be hurt from training. I appreciate your content as it has always hit home with me. 🤙🏼💪🏼

I'm 44 going 45 and have been doing calisthenic exercises since January 2023, when I was 43. This is what I've learned that echoes what is said here: *Warm up is essential, and for me I use treadmill cardio as part of my warmup. Nothing gets the blood flowing like running a mile at around 70-80% of your max heart rate. I typically sustain around 165 BPM. *Joint-specific warm-up's are essential, especially wrists, elbows, shoulders, ankles, knees. *The pull-up can be essential, but there is so much actual technique to it that if you're not careful, you can easily mess up your elbows as I did with Golfer's elbow in my left arm. It took 6 months of careful working out and taking supplements to finally heal. Increasing forearm strength as well as learning to use a false grip is of monumental importance. *Learn proper scapula depression, adduction, retraction, etc. They are just as important as strengthening your core. *Always be cognizant of your FORM. You have to always have that connection to your entire body down to your toes. The better you can hold your form, the better the results from the exercise will be. *Protein intake needs to be at least 1.5g per pound of body weight to speed up recovery and muscle growth, as well as sustained fat loss. I am 151 lbs and 11.3 % body weight, and saw the most significant improvement when I up'd my protein intake to at least 220g per day, and always take BCAAs as part of my daily hydration, as well as glutamine-based muscle recovery supplements. *Supplements I use for repairing my golfer's elbow were: Athlean-X Mechanix supplements, Vital Proteins Advanced collagen, Toniq Cissus Quadrangularis, Toniq Boswellia, Toniq Tumeric Curcumin. It certainly is no joke to experience the pain of tendon tears and can be extremely painful and debilitating. *Going back to pull-up's, this is where/how I hurt my elbow. I rushed into it too quickly without learning proper overhand grip, false grip, strengthening of forearms. I also had no idea about learning by using progressions by simply lifting your torso up using scapular depression. Learn from the calisthenics masters like Chris Heria/ThenX, CRay, FitnessFAQs Daniel Vadnal. *Don't ignore your core. Work it out every day, even if it's just crunches, but to make it all effective you need to drop the belly fat. Doing HIIT cardio before going into resistance training of any kind, whether body-weight or not, will amplify each workout. I'm able to do the Bruce Lee Dragon Flag, and always get looks from people in the gym, since no one else works out their core in such a fashion. *Work out fasted. That is to say make sure your last meal was at least 5 hrs ago, and more if it was a big meal. This will drop your insulin level and make your body scavenge for energy from fat cells. *But I'm not saying it's easy. I gave up all fast-food, drinking of any kind, all sugars. Just stuck to protein, healthy carbs from broccoli, carrots, etc and lots of BCAA hydration. I'm in the best shape of my life, which at my age is not something everyone can say. It's a big sacrifice that you have to stick to. Either you want it or you don't.

The pyramid method worked great for me. This method, you do pull ups every day. You keep one in the tank at the peak of the pyramid. So, a pyramid would look like: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 9, 7, 5, 3. The notion is that your body gets used to doing pull ups every day. I forgot what that's called when your muscles get used to a daily routine.

From the narration I was expecting David Attenborough to show up and start blasting some pull ups.

How would you programme progressive overload and/or break a plateau? Been stuck on 3 reps in the pull-up using the SuperSlow method (10/10 cadence). Whilst one minute TUL is good, I am no longer progressing.
